Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Saturday directed the concerned authorities to make payment to contractors only after local people were satisfied with the civil works carried out in their localities. Sisodia visited several areas in his Patparganj constituency to inspect civil works – construction of drains, streets, among others – carried out by contractors.

During his visit, most locals were seen to be satisfied with the works, according to a video released by the Deputy Chief Minister on his Facebook page.

“After people’s approval, the Deputy CM asked the authorities to make payment to the contractors,” said a senior government official.

Making payment to the contractor only after satisfaction of the local people - is it mentioned in the work order issued to the contractor at the time of awarding contact? May please publish the terms and conditions mentioned in the work order. That is true transparency in a democracy. People want to know. Otherwise, your decisions may lead to inferring 1. Want to help some interested parties (AAP followers) to squeeze money from the contractor 2. To deny payment to the contractor 3. To encourage subjectiveness into release of payments 4. Populist measure at the cost of ojbectivism. lt;br/gt;AAP, be objective, be impartial, be transparent and be patient.

It is ugly move. contracter should be paid if he has done work as per work order and in given time.Satisfaction of public is irrelevent. It is duty of goverment to implement projects which fullfills the need of city and people.wish of people is dangerous thought.lt;br/gt;lt;br/gt;By the way what are the parameters to measure satisfaction of people.
