On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Sunday, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will be visiting Porbandar to attend a prayer meeting at Kirti Mandir, the ancestral house of Mahatma Gandhi which has been converted into a memorial.
After attending the prayer meeting he will launch a sanitation drive under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
He will also lay the foundation stone for Rs 45 crore worth of development projects in Porbandar.
Rupani will also honour five municipalities, two municipal corporations, three districts, five talukas and 33 sarpanches for work done under the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Meanwhile in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Governor OP Kohli and the Chief Economic Advisor Arvind Subramanian will attend a all-religion prayer meeting at Sabarmati Ashram.
