Lured with work, 2 Delhi traders abducted in Bihar

Based on a complaint filed by the victims’ father, Babulal Sharma, police lodged a kidnapping case on Sunday.

Two marble traders from Delhi, both brothers, were abducted by their Facebook acquaintance, who invited them to Patna to apply for a construction tender. Both were abducted soon after they arrived in Patna Friday.

Based on a complaint filed by the victims’ father, Babulal Sharma, police lodged a kidnapping case on Sunday. Patna SSP Manu Maharaj said, “We have some important clues, but we cannot reveal the identity of suspects.” He, however, denied the family receiving any ransom call.

In another incident, SP’s Siwan district president Rabibur Rahman alias Raju was shot at on Sunday night. Rahman unsuccessfully contested the last Assembly election from Barahariya in Siwan. He was shot at while returning home around 11 pm. Police said Rahman is in the property business.
