The suicide note said the deceased was under “mental depression” as “business was not running well”. It also mentioned he was ending his life of his own will. It stated that not a single penny should be spent on his last rites and those Rs 50,000 be used for his children and wife.

The deceased ran a makeshift shop shop in Shivpuri area. His wife Priti said she, along with her son and daughter, had gone out and that when they came back, she saw the body of her husband hanging with the ceiling fan.

Priti claimed her husband had Rs 50,000 in old currency notes which he had not been able to exchange from the bank for the past four days. She said his business had already been suffering losses for months, which led to his ‘depression’.
