Kolkata: Three persons arrested with 70 suspected gold biscuits

Two out of the 70 metal biscuits were verified by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and declared as made of gold.

Acting on a tip-off, a RPF Sealdah special task force seized the metal biscuits from the three — Saurabh Shukla (25), Pravin Shukla (30) and Kuldeep Pandey (26), all residents of Uttar Pradesh, at the station platform on September 4 when they were planning to board New Delhi-bound Duranta Express, he said.

Two out of the 70 metal biscuits were verified by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and declared as made of gold, he said.

The Customs Department was informed for further course of action.
