A major fire at Puttingal temple in Paravaur (Kollam) Kerala has left at least a 100 dead and over 200 injured.
Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the incident was unprecedented and alarming, adding that the rescue operations at the temple were over.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his way to Kerala, where he will visit those injured.

Kerala CM Oommen Chandy: This is an unprecedented and alarming situation… Rescue operations are over and we are concentrating on giving the best treatment to all the persons admitted in the hospitals. So we are giving assistance to private hospitals and all the expert doctors have been asked to join duty because Sunday possibly they are on leave.
