A major fire at Puttingal temple in Paravaur (Kollam) Kerala has left at least a 100 dead and over 200 injured.

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the incident was unprecedented and alarming, adding that the rescue operations at the temple were over.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his way to Kerala, where he will visit those injured.
