The music video of a Kannada rap song deriding Tamil Nadu and its people over the Cauvery dispute has gone viral on social media, leading to the arrest of three youths — mechanical engineer Mukhesh R Lakmane, 26, design engineer Rakesh Gowda, 25, and marketing professional Ashwath S Naik, 26.

A few other youths have been named accused for composing the song with abusive language and uploading the video on YouTube, with credits for lyrics, music and cinematography. The song uses abusive language against the neighbouring state, its people and its chief minister. Police registered the case suo motu, said DC (West) M N Anucheth.
