Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Saturday said efforts were on to give all facilities to villages. Recalling PURA vision of former President A P J Abdul Kalam, Das said development works were being expedited as the poor and tribals in the villages have the right to get services like road, electricity, water, irrigation, school, health and other such facilities.
Alleging that some people were doing politics by misleading the masses, Das said without the permission land would not be taken and land givers would be given four times the cost of the land, which would be used for hospitals, schools and other things, an official release said in Ranchi.
Laying a foundation stone for vendors’ market at Jaipal Singh Stadium in Ranchi, Das said that the government wanted to ensure a respectful living to those people and the market was aimed towards that endeavour. He also said foundation for a flyover in Ranchi would be laid on October 2, adding metro services would also be constructed to smoothen traffic and roads were being widened. He said vegetable vendors too would get the same arrangement.
Stating that the government intended to put Ranchi among the top cities in the country, he said efforts were also on to make Ranchi a medical and IT hub and tourism city and that Infosys help was being taken for the former. He also asked the people to help the government keep the city clean and beautiful.

Das said the government was pondering over to give Sadar hospital to Narayan Hridalaya and Dr Sethi would come in August first week and added Hyderabad’s famous Pancreas hospital’s Dr Rao would also open a hospital in Ranchi and ten acres land would be given for it, the release said. Das appealed to the youth to begin startup and the government would help them. Urban Development Minister C P Singh said that Urban Haat would be soon set up in the city and foundation stones for ‘Ravindra Mandap’ and Convention Centre would be laid.
MLAs Ram Kumar Pahan, Jitu Charan Ram, Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra, Deputy Mayor Sangeev Vijayavargiya and Ranchi Municipal Corporation CEO Prasant Kumar were present on the occasion.
