Following a complaint that jewellery worth over Rs 53 lakh was missing from filmmaker Kiran Rao’s home, Khar police have registered an FIR and are investigating the case, reported Mid-day. Rao, married to actor Aamir Khan, lives with their five-year-old son Azad in an apartment on Carter Road.
The complaint said that some time last week, Rao found that a ring and a diamond necklace were missing from her bedroom, after which her relative filed the complaint with the police. Sources have said that the police’s prime suspects include the family’s domestic helps – the household cook Farzana, Rao’s assistant Suzanna, and their domestic help Jhumki. The police have been questioning the three all day without revealing what the missing items are, sources said. The police have also been to the homes of the three suspects, but have not got any leads so far.
