Jayalalithaa hospitalised: Amma supporters pray for Tamil Nadu CM’s speedy recovery

Jayalalitha was taken to Apollo hospital in Chennai last night. Her condition is stable now and is on normal diet.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was last night admitted to Apollo hospital in Chennai due to fever and dehydration. The 68-year-old AIADMK chief was taken to hospital after she complained of fever. Fans and followers across Tamil Nadu expressed concern and prayed for speed recovery of the chief minister.

“Amma has done a lot for all of us, nothing should happen to her, we are praying for her wellness,” said a party supporter. Meanwhile, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayansami wished speedy recovery to Jayalalithaa. Her supporters gathered outside the hospital where Jayalalithaa was admitted. “Amma should live hundred years, she is the goddess for Tamil Nadu,” said another worker.

People have been visiting temples, mosques and churches to pray for Amma’s speedy recovery.

“Jayalalitha works for her people, we have been bestowed by her government, we pray for her recovery,”  cried and said a supporter of Amma.

Leaders of opposition parties including state unit chief of BJP Tamilisai Soundararajan, All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi chief Sarathkumar, an ally of ruling AIADMK, besides Dravidar Kazhagam chief Ki Veeramani also wished her speedy recovery.

Apollo Hospital’s Chief Operating Officer Subbiah Viswanathan said that the chief minister was recovering and has been put under observation.
