Jammu: Two brothers, celebrating friend’s birthday, washed away in river Tawi

The two boys had gone to Harki Poudi to celebrate the birthday of a friend.

Two brothers who were celebrating a friend’s birthday were washed away in river Tawi on Wednesday. Identified as Surya Pratap and his younger brother Adarsh Kumar, both sons of Prabunath of Bihar, they along with others had gone to Harki Poudi to celebrate the birthday of a friend.
However, both among three were washed away due to sudden rise in river’s water level following rains in some catchment area. The third boy Rajan Kumar, son of a BSF personnel Vinod Kumar at BSF camp in Paloura area, was rescued. The police have registered a case in the matter.
