Within a few hours of violating the ceasefire in Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan on Monday resorted to unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts along the Line of Control (LoC ) in Krishna Ghati, Poonch sector, according to ANI reports. The heavy firing from Pakistan’s side started from 8.30 am. The firing is still going on.

Earlier, a BSF head constable lost his life in the early hours of Monday morning after Pakistani Army resorted to heavy cross-border firing in Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday night. Pakistani troops continued firing 120 mm mortar shells at various forward Indian positions and civilian areas along the LoC in Rajouri and Poonch districts. They also began firing mortar shells in Krishna Ghati Sector Monday morning. “It’s being responded strongly by own troops,” said Defence Ministry spokesman, Lt Colonel Manish Mehta.
