In a fresh statement on Wednesday, AIADMK said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J is ‘very well’ and would return home soon. Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration. Apollo Hospital had issued a release recently stating that the CM is progressing gradually. A Raj Bhavan release also stated that, “Dr Pratap C Reddy, Chairman of Apollo Hospitals, had briefed the Governor on the treatment being given to Jayalalithaa by a team of experts including doctors of Critical Care Group, senior cardiologist, senior respiratory physician, dieticians and diabetologist, among others.”
Reddy told the Governor that Jayalalithaa “continues to be under treatment and observation for all vital parameters, respiratory support and passive physiotherapy,” it said.
Kerala CM Oommen Chandy had also visited the chief minister a few days back and said she is progressing well. “We are getting positive reports from the hospital on the health of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. I met the doctors and they explained everything to me. According to them, she is progressing very well…she will recover in a very short time,” said Chandy.
