Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said on Thursday that induction of women in combat arms will take place in a phased manner. Speaking on the sidelines of an event organised by the Defence Investors and Industry Association (DIIA), Parrikar said factors such as training facilities and accommodation would decide the timeline for induction of women into the fighter streams of the armed forces.

Parrikar also hinted that the government is considering setting up a separate wing for defence acquisition.

In the name of freedom of speech we have only fostered anti-nationals like those in JNU. Just like that in the name of equality of men and women inducting female solders is the worst ber anyone can think of!!!

Stop this nonsense!!! Even male combat soldiers are physically ill treated if caught alive its needless to even think what would happen if a female combat soldier is caught in combat. And if female soldiers are not to be deplo in combat, then why waste money in training them?? It is ic to have female soldiers in the Armed Forces.

Manohar Parrikar is the only Minister in Modi Govt. who is doing excellent job without beating his drum or without raising useless, communal issues.
