Indian Mujahideen operative held by NIA to be produced in Mumbai court

Indian Mujahideen operative, Abdul Wahid Siddibappa in connection with the 2011 Mumbai blasts case, was arrested in May by the NIA after being deported from the UAE.

A special court in Mumbai has issued a warrant to produce alleged Indian Mujahideen operative Abdul Wahid Siddibappa in connection with the 2011 Mumbai blasts case.

Siddibappa was arrested in May by the NIA after being deported from the UAE. A copy of the production warrant was sent to the special NIA court and Rohini jail in Delhi where he is lodged, in judicial custody. He is expected to be brought to the city for the next hearing on July 15.

Officials said he is alleged to be a key conspirator along with Yasin Bhatkal. Three blasts shook Dadar, Opera House and Zaveri Bazar, killing 26 on July 13, 2011.
