India-Israel partnership in trade, culture: Israeli President Reuven Rivlin

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin also visited Hi-tech Green House where he had got information about seed production through Indo-Israel technology.

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin said that India and Israel are jointly working for the promotion of horticulture, irrigation, agriculture, trade and culture. Interacting with mediapersons at the Centre of Excellence for vegetables at Gharaunda, district Karnal, Rivlin said that both the countries have cordial relations and are moving ahead not only at government level but at the level of people as well. He said that other countries should also work to adopt high-tech and modern technology.

He also visited Hi-tech Green House where he had got information about seed production through Indo-Israel technology. The President and his wife Nechama Rivlin planted a sapling.

Speaking on this occasion, Agriculture Minister O P Dhankar said that Haryana has adopted Israeli system under which five different centres of excellence have been established in the state at Gharaunda, Ladwa, bee-keeping, fruits and dairy farming at Hisar. He said that a CoE for flowers would soon be established in Jhajjar so as to promote floriculture in the state.
