BJP MP of Navsari C R Patil said, “The CNG auto-rickshaws will be given under different government schemes to the beneficiaries. The Bhartiya Micro Credit (BMC) firm works with the beneficiary, using different schemes of the Government of India and also co-ordinates with different banks.
The approximate value of a CNG auto-rickshaw is around Rs 1.70 lakh and the beneficiaries will get these autos at zero percent down payment. There will be declining interest at 14 per cent on them. A provision has been made wherein a beneficiary can fix the term between 3 to 5 years. If the beneficiary submits MAA card, BPL card, SC/ST certificate, the interest will be 7 percent. The middle firm, BMC, will collect the monthly instalments and deposit into the banks’ account.”
He added, “We are also giving five steel lorries having good storage capacity and roof-top solar system which the owner can use at night. The approximate cost of the lorry is Rs 40,000. The lorry also has storage capacity which can be locked and it is also movable. Like the loan facility for auto-rickshaws, similar facilities will be offered to the beneficiaries of the lorries who will only have to pay zero percent down payment.”
The BMC has till now sanctioned the loan for 501 beneficiaries while the delivery of 157 CNG auto-rickshaws will be facilitated by Rupani and other ministers at Limbayat in Surat on Sunday.
BJP MP C R Patil added, “This will help improve the lives of the poor. We have linked different national schemes of the Centre with those offered by the state government.”
