The BJP, at the party’s Ludhiana leg of Tiranga Yatra on Saturday, demanded that the Chief Minister order an inquiry if there were any links between AAP leaders and hardliners.
Dinesh Kumar Sharma, BJP’s organisational secretary for Punjab state, said, “Time and again this talk of AAP’s national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal having links with hardliners is cropping up. This needs to be inquired.” Sharma stated that AAP has been exposed on the issue of corruption as a number of their MLAs are sitting behind bars. “AAP and Congress are chips of the same block.”
He even linked the desecration incidents, ahead of the state polls, an attempt at disturbing the peace in Punjab.
Sharma, meanwhile, highlighted that the the need of the hour was to teach the youth patriotic values, sacrifices done by martyrs and much more.
The Ludhiana leg was taken out from Ludhiana Central, East and West constituencies. BJP flags were flown along with the Tricolour. Anil Sareen, vice-president of BJP Punjab said, “Apart from the Yatra, the Yuva Morcha will take out a Mashal Yatra on August 14, while the SC Morcha of BJP will take out a Tiranga March on August 16.”
