we lost 28 Mig in last 20 years. Jaguar is the first one now. Looks like no one is under fire in IAF. It is all about the maintenance.

If we do not have technical expertise or initiative inspite of huge spending on mundane research programs at iits . . .any body can strategize entry of substandard spares and the manufacturer itself can issue fake certifications . . . . where is the product liability?

Let us build our own fighter planes, instead of buying them from Russia, France or US.

There is something with our training and competence of our pilots which is a serious concern. The incidence of aircraft crashes around the globe is negligible as compared to India. During 1965 Indo-Pak war our Gnats outperformed stan's Sabre jets which were far superior. It was then argued that it is not the machines but the men behind the machines which matters. We concerned at the aircraft crashes as a matter of routine which has to be arrested at the earliest.

The ground staff and pilots must be common cadre to fix laxity if any.
