Hyderabad City Police arrested a man, who had allegedly raped and murdered a 10-year-old girl at Bollarum area in Hyderabad.
31-year-old Chintakindi Anil, who had come out of Sanga Reddy jail on July 1 after serving a one-year term, had allegedly committed the crime two days ago, police said in a statement.
The accused was arrested near Bollarum railway station.
“He had kidnapped the girl from a toddy shop in Bollarum on Saturday and took her to the bushes near a railway track and raped her after which he killed the minor by smashing her head with a concrete boulder and fled from the spot,” they said .
Anil, a habitual offender, has 19 cases pending against him at Alwal Police Station in Cyberabad and Narsapur Police Station of Medak district, police added.
