The Hindu Sena on Friday hosted an event in New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to offer prayers and wishes for the Republican presidential candidate and real estate mogul Donald Trump’s victory in the upcoming US presidential election on November 8. Although, Donald Trump may have never heard of the Hindu Sena, a right wing organisation in India, it did not stop them from organising the event and ask for good fortunes for Donald trump in the presidential election.

The group has organised such events before. On June 14 this year, the group had celebrated Donald Trump’s birthday with a cake, balloons and posters — including one showing Trump brandishing a gun. A month before that, the Hindu Sena held a ‘havan’ to pray for Trump’s victory in the US elections. The group had pledged its ‘support’ for the billionaire businessman, who according to its President Vishnu Gupta is their ‘hero’ for taking a tough stance against radical Islam and Muslim immigration in US.
Gupta had further said, “We believe Islam and Islamic terror are cancerous to the world. India has suffered too long because of this. Trump believes the same thing… that’s why we are praying for his victory.”
