Gujarat: President to inaugurate Sevashram Hospital and heart research institute in Bharuch district

The President is also scheduled to meet former external affairs minister Madhavsinh Solanki in Gandhinagar.

President Pranab Mukherjee, who is due to visit Gujarat to inaugurate 96-year old Sevashram Hospital at Bharuch and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Heart Research Institute and Hospital at Ankleshwar will arrive in the state late on Saturday night. He will be staying in the Raj Bhavan at Gandhinagar.

Raj Bhawan sources said that the President will fly by a helicopter to Bharuch on October 23. He would first inaugurate the renovated building of the Sevashram at 10.30 am and would then go to inaugurate the heart
institute at Ankleshwar. The heart institute is having the latest equipments and is the only one of its kind between Vadodara and Surat.

After inaugurating the heart institute, the President would fly back to Gandhinagar where he would address the students of engineering and management college at Bapu Gujarat Knowledge Village run by family members of senior Congress leader Shankersinh Vaghela.

The President is also scheduled to meet former external affairs minister Madhavsinh Solanki in Gandhinagar. The 89-year-old Solanki is not keeping well for quite some time. The President would fly back to Delhi in the evening.
