There were reports of an official laptop going “missing” from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) in the high security Swarnim Sankul-1 at the secretariat complex in Gandhinagar Thursday.
As per reports, the laptop containing vital data of decisions and project presentations of the CMO over the years was untraceable, following which a discreet probe has been launched. The SS-1, in use since the tenure of Narendra Modi as CM, has controlled access. Though Officer on Special Duty (Media Relations & Communication) at CMO Bhagyesh Jha said that he was not aware of any such incident, he added that no FIR of this nature was registered. Gandhinagar SP Virendra Yadav also denied any knowledge of the missing laptop. Sources close to the development, however, said that “a probe was on” and the authorities were mulling over filing an FIR in the matter.
