A grenade was hurled at patrolling party of CRPF jawans in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday injuring two jawans and four civilians. The attackers have not been identified yet.
This attack comes at the backdrop of an encounter between security forces and militants in Pampore’s EDI building which entered second day on Tuesday.
The militants are still hiding inside the EDI building. The same building was attacked by militants earlier in February this year.
There has been a rise in incidents of violence, infiltration attempts and ceasefire violation since the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes along the LoC on September 29.
Further details are awaited
