Search for the term ‘anti-national’ or ‘sedition’ on Google Maps, and you will be surprised to see what the search engine throws up. Google Maps now directs users to Jawaharlal Nehru University campus in New Delhi when one searches for terms such as ‘anti-national’ or ‘sedition’.

Google Maps have for long been user generated with almost anyone having access to pin locations on the map. However, not all pins are published rightaway, unless you are one of those editors who have enough credibility in the system for your posts to be auto-published. This seems to have been the case here with the location tagged to this specific keyword.

JNU has been at the center of a political storm after JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar and students Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya were present at an event on the campus on February 9 against the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru when anti-national slogans were allegedly raised.

All three are out on bail as of now.
