Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi Monday said he is going abroad for a “few days”, but did not specify the country he is heading for.

“Traveling out of the country for a few days on a short visit. Thanks again to all who met & wished me y’day, truly grateful for your affection!”, he said on Twitter.

Gandhi had celebrated his 46th birthday on Sunday amid speculation that he could be elevated as the party chief on that day.

Gandhi’s 56-day mysterious sabbatical last year had created much controversy in political circles with the ruling BJP making his absence in the midst of Budget session of Parliament an issue.

Party leaders have time and again said that Gandhi, who was made the party Vice President in January 2013 at the Jaipur ‘Chintan Shivir,’ will be elevated soon.

Congress is passing through a difficult phase since its debacle in the May 2014 Lok Sabha polls and has faced a string of defeats in Assembly elections, including in Assam and Kerala.

Certainly can't afford to keep going abroad on an MP's ry. Enjoy the money your family has looted.

will media now make a hue and cry about his umpteen foreign junket and question who is financing it? unlike mr.modi who is visiting other countries to attract investment and to get due recognition that india should be included in elite NSG group or for permanent membership of UN security council 'yuvraj' goes for personal gratification and with no other information regarding where he is visiting or with what purpose? but as media gets TRPs with only blowing its trumpet against mr.modi it chooses to overlook other side of the coin.

RaGa often comes to India to fire few salvos which he learns from training camps located out of India where he spends most of his time with his girl friends during recess times. He doesn't trust his willing Indian mentors as his mindset is made from foreign genes from Italy.
