Kashmir unrest: Fresh NBW issued against SSP

According to the victim’s father, a police team led by DSP Yasir Qadri barged into their home and killed Shabir Ahmad Mir on July 10.

A Srinagar court Saturday issued a second non-bailable warrant against a Senior Superintendent of Police for not obeying court orders to lodge an FIR against a Deputy Superintendent of Police accused of killing a 26-year-old youth in Tengpora, Srinagar.

According to the victim’s father, a police team led by DSP Yasir Qadri barged into their home and killed Shabir Ahmad Mir on July 10.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate Saturday also asked Inspector General of Police Kashmir to lodge an FIR against DSP Qadri within 24 hours. “IGP Kashmir is further directed to appear before the court at 10 am on August 8 along with the compliance report,” the CJM said.
