Four cattle owners detained by Vadodara Police

The Vadodara police Thursday detained four cattle owners under Gujarat Prevention of Anti-social Activities Act (PASA), 1985.

The Vadodara police Thursday detained four cattle owners under Gujarat Prevention of Anti-social Activities Act (PASA), 1985.

They had allegedly let their cattle free on the street and threatened the officials of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) who were impounding their cattle from the road.

The four — identified as Kalu Bharvad, Arjun Bharwad, Vikram Desai, Jayesh Rabari — have been sent to Rajkot, Porbandar, Bhuj and Jamnagar jails respectively. According to the police, to prevent accidents due to stray cattle on city roads, strict action has been taken.

The police have prepared the list of the accused who have been booked for various charges in connection with leaving their cattle on the streets and detained four persons. ENS
