Delhi: 48-year-old man dies of heart attack

The deceased, identified as Soudar Rehman, called his friend Siraj Ahmed around 12.30 pm on Wednesday and asked him to come to the bank immediately.

After unsuccessfully standing in bank queues for three days in a row, a 48-year-old man died of heart attack in Hamdard Nagar area of central Delhi on Wednesday.

The deceased, identified as Soudar Rehman, called his friend Siraj Ahmed around 12.30 pm on Wednesday and asked him to come to the bank immediately.

After Ahmed reached the bank, he saw that Soudar’s face was “pale yellow” and he complained about been anxious. “I took him to LNJP Hospital. But he was declared dead after a few hours. Doctors said that he suffered a heart attack,” said Ahmed.

Ahmed also said that Rehman had not been keeping well for the last few days. He further claimed that he was tense about not being able to exchange his notes. “Every day, Soudar used to come home depressed as he was not able to get cash,” Ahmed said.

Rehman, a graphics designer, is survived by his wife, three daughters and a 20-year-old son.
