A medium intensity earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter Scale hit the national capital and parts of northern India on Thursday. Many tweeted about the earthquake despite the tremors hitting early in the morning. According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake shook the national capital at around 4.30 am and was epicentred 13 kilometres southeast of Bawal in Haryana. The quake had a reported depth of 10 kilometres. No damage to life and property was reported in the city or in the outskirts.
The tweets reflect how Delhi is still not over the government’s demonetisation move and some even took a dig at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
