CM Manohar Lal Khattar reviews arrangements to celebrate Haryana’s Swarna Jayanti

Various events will be held across the state to celebrate fifty years of Haryana’s existence.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Saturday afternoon reviewed the arrangements being made at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium for the inauguration function of Swarna Jayanti Utsav, to be held in the city on November 1.

Various events will be held across the state to celebrate fifty years of Haryana’s existence — it was carved out of Punjab on November 1, 1966 — from November 1 to October 31.

Khattar said the event would be attended by Prime Minister Modi, cabinet ministers, as well as the chief ministers of other states. On the progress made for the event, Khattar said he expected all arrangements, including better security arrangements, to be completed in the next week, well in time for the function, which is “nine days later”.

When asked about allegations made by opposition parties about the inefficient functioning of the government, Khattar said “work is being done in every respect”.
