NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal health worsens, rushed to JJ Hospital

Chhagan Bhujbal is facing charges in a money laundering case, and was earlier admitted at St George hospital in April this year for various health issues.

NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal has been rushed to JJ hospital from Arthur Road Jail after the former minister’s health worsened due to low blood pressure and diabetes. Hospital authorities said that the minister showed symptoms of dengue, but test results are still awaited.

The jail superintendent confirmed he was taken to JJ Hospital for further treatment at 8 pm on Saturday. Bhujbal is currently in the medical intensive care unit of the hospital. The former PWD minister is facing charges in a money laundering case, and was earlier admitted at St George hospital in April this year for various health issues after his condition deteriorated in prison. Bhujbal is known to have a history of asthma, hypertension and blood pressure.
