BJP Tuesday distanced itself from the meeting between Kashmiri separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and a delegation led by its leader Yashwant Sinha, saying the party has nothing to do with it.

“It is not a BJP delegation. BJP has nothing to do with this,” its National Secretary Shrikant Sharma said. A five-member civil society delegation led by the former Union Minister Tuesday met Geelani amid continuing volatile situation in the valley.

Some media outlets have said that it is a BJP delegation which is absolutely wrong, Sharma said, adding Sinha too maintained that he took up the enterprise in his personal capacity.  The other members of the delegation are Wajahat Habibullah, the former chairman of National Commission for Minorities, Kapil Kak, former Air Vice-Marshal, journalist Bharat Bhushan and Sushoba Barve of Centre for Dialogue and Reconciliation. They plan to meet other separatist leaders too.

In India there is widespread feeling that there should be talks with all parties. The wait is because parties will become clear when stan implodes in four pieces. Then there will be four sets of talks. Yes, the people who want talks will certainly appreciate this.lt;br/gt;lt;br/gt;If we talk now - we will have to talk agin with these parties. That is the reality.

And who the fu.k are you to advise me? As a citizen I reserve the right to disagree. This government may have got a bigger mandate which is what makes it more tragic. They are wasting it. BTW, the valley is under curfew for the last 100 days and counting.

At a time when the government should explore all avenues for a solution, it is very strange that BJP is making stupid noises of distancing itself from a process that has just begun. It's more than a hundred days since the valley has been under a lockdown. The border is extremely restive with soldiers dying on a daily basis. lt;br/gt;All that this government is scared of is that somebody else should not take credit for anything. They even tried to usurp the credit for the strikes from the army. lt;br/gt;What is this governance?

Initially I thought I would let your senseless comment go. But then on second thoughts I thought you might still understand. First nobody needs to bring down Modi. He has chosen the path to destruction because of his myopic view. Secondly, of all the rabid comments you bhakts have unleashed, is there a single one that gives any indication on how to resolve the problem. Thirdly, the vote to PDP in the valley was an anti-BJP vote. Go and look at the manifesto of PDP, it opposes almost line-by-line the BJP one. Yet in their wisdom and hunger for power they became allies. Now both the parties have lost the credibility to govern there. Carry. With these shenanigans and you will lose Kashmir to those hungry wolves from across the border. Fourthly, you have been loosing almost a soldier a day from the low intensity warfare after the surgical strikes. Does this government have any plan besides tom-toming the army action for election victory? The posters in UP were for all to see and speeches by Parrikar and Shah were for all to hear. And, of course, I don't understand politics within as you say but you are some one who pretends to understand and then rave and rant at everybody who is not a bhakt.
