A van driver, involved in providing cash logistics to banks and who had sped away with Rs 1.37 crore in cash on November 23, was arrested by the Bengaluru Police on Tuesday, a day after his wife’s arrest.

After the driver’s wife, Evelyn Mary Roy, was arrested on Monday, the police recovered Rs 79 lakh from her. Roy had only Rs 300 when he was nabbed on the city outskirts, police said.

“We have recovered Rs 1.25 crore till now… we suspect Roy has hidden it (money with a relative at Salem,” a senior police officer said.
