Arvind Kejriwal misses party meet in Mohali due to poor health

Hundreds of supporters and volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were left in the lurch when Delhi Chief Minister and party convener Arvind Kejriwal failed to attend a function in Mohali on Tuesday.

Kejriwal was supposed to interact with the industrialists in the town. The party leaders said that Kejriwal had to go to Delhi due to some health problems. The candidates from various Assembly constituencies and delegates from Fatehgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib and Patiala Lok Sabha constituencies had reached Shivalik Public School in Phase VI where Kejriwal was supposed to interact with the industrialists and party workers.

Later, state convener Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi , Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann and state in-charge Sanjay Singh arrived at the venue and interacted with the party workers. Mann, while interacting with the supporters, lashed out at SAD-BJP and Congress and termed both the parties as corrupt. He said that AAP will come to power in the state and the party manifesto for the industry is a landmark. Mohali Assembly constituency candidate Himmat Singh Shergill, Kharar candidate Kunwar Singh Sandhu, Balachaur candidate Brigadier (rtd) Raj Kumar and Samana candidate Jagtar Singh were present at at the spot.

Meanwhile, SAD workers distributed pamphlets in the city highlighting failures of the Kejriwal-government.

The pamphlets were distributed in the city with newspapers with many news clippings published against Kejriwal and his ministers.

“He is a liar. We have distributed the pamphlets and we will do it again wherever he goes. They have done nothing in Delhi and now they want to fool the people of Punjab. we will not let them do this,” said a SAD leader on conditions of anonymity.
