Ambit of power: SC adjourns hearing

The case will come up Tuesday after Chief Justice of India T S Thakur ordered for placing it before a different bench.

The Supreme Court adjourned until Tuesday hearing on a plea by the AAP government in Delhi to authoritatively rule upon the ambit of power that the central government can exercise over the national capital in performing public functions.

The matter was deferred after Justice J S Khehar, who was heading the bench before which the case was listed, recused from hearing it. The case will come up Tuesday after Chief Justice of India T S Thakur ordered for placing it before a different bench.
