West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday accused the Narendra Modi government of making “actionless announcements” and said it should allow the old Rs 500 notes to remain in circulation along with new notes to help the common people. “We are looking for a solution. I have some concrete suggestions which will help restore normalcy and help all people who are suffering,” she said in a statement.

The government should allow old Rs 500 notes to remain in circulation along with new notes. Also Rs 100, Rs 50, Rs 10 notes must be made easily available.

“The Rs 1,000 notes may be withdrawn when circulation improves by December 30, or at your discretion,” she said, adding there was no need for anymore “faltu, action-less announcements. Sometimes blunders lead to more blunders”.

Banerjee along with her Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday set a deadline of three days to the Modi government to roll back the demonetisation decision, warning of “widespread unrest” if the current “chaos” continues.

Great idea from Mamta didi. So that she and her cronies can convert their black money into white. The majority of honest tax paying citizens of India are supporting the demonitisation. Her true colours can be see by all. Stop wasting your time and don't threaten us anymore. Mr. Kejriwal, you too, hope you're listening too. You two chief ministers should get busy with your primary duty, of governing your states, instead of misleading the people.

You want old notes to be in circulations, so that Maoists, terrorists and other anti national forces get rid of old notes by converting into white. This is not concrete solution. When majority of the people supporting the move with out any violent protests, what is troubling you. You are wasting your time and running away from your responsibility as a WB Chief Minister, which should be your primary focus
