Sonu Nigam, Jet Airways, Sonu Nigam sings on flight, Sonu Nigam sings in flight, Sonu Nigam video, Sonu Nigam flight video, Jet Airways flight, India news Sonu Nigam was on a flight from Jodhpur to Mumbai when fellow passengers asked him to perform.

Sonu Nigam’s impromptu in-flight performance on a Jet Airways flight may have made a lot of people happy, but the authorities reportedly weren’t amused.

Jet Airways issued a statement on Twitter saying it suspended all cabin crew of a flight and is enforcing corrective measures and disciplinary actions. Though the tweet doesn’t state what incident spurred this, reports allege that the misuse of the in-flight announcement system by the playback singer is responsible for this.

The singer was on a flight from Jodhpur to Mumbai when fellow passengers asked him to perform. The artist obliged and soon videos of Nigam singing ‘Do pal ka khwabon ka karvaan” from Veer Zaara and “Panchhi nadiya” from Refugee over the flight’s intercom for his fellow passengers went viral on social media.

I think people have a thought that the aircraft itself may start dancing when Sonu is singing... Nonsense decision. They will wait for hours for so called VIPs and VVIPs!!!! No issues in that.

Wrong decision from jetairways. Pengers told sonu to sing a song. Even if he sang what could possibly go wrong in that 2 to 3 mins time. Suspension for such a cause is too harsh to the cabin crew members.

I do not understand how Safety has been comprised? Is this about Sonu being close to the pit or is it about Sonu not wearing seat belt! Why around with the poor cabin crew? Did any penger object to it and it was not heard? jet Airways and Civil Aviation, you have bigger problems to solve in life... ensure that people are not sucked into engines and there is no corruption. Rest the people and Cabin Crew will take care.... don't interfere.

Flight t is not a stage to perform. Some may like singing. Some may hate any disturbance while in flight. Rules are rules. No body is so great to break rules in public. Good decision.

Appreciate your adherence to rules and regulations.........but have a pragmatic approach and weigh the incident with respect to the situation. Have such zero tolerance where it is apt, it will be well applauded. Don't throw your weight on a harmless action by your team which actually brought a smile on people who were there an will cherish this experience forever..........let's show a bit of our human side too in su matters.

Had it been Lata Mangeshkar or Asha Bhonsle in his place, would the crew be suspended even then? I think not.

Where has all the respect gone? What sets us apart from the rest of the world is the basic respect for people. He's a por singer, and a good one at that. It's but obvious that the audience would want him to sing. But did he hinder the flight functioning in any way? Or, did he go on indefinitely, disturbing the general public? If not, then why should the crew members be suspended?

I am a student Pilot. I live in Las Vegas (LV) where over 40 million people fly in from all over the world every year. While in flight to LV, invariably, the flight attendants sing a song on PA or crack some jokes or sing happy birthday for one of the pengers. The PA (public address) and interphone system is a tool for “relaying safety information”, but it can also be used for any other announcements without compromising the safety. I am not aware of any regulations regarding PA usage inside the cabin in United States. There is no broadcast outside of the cabin, so I don't see how there should be any issue of its usage regardless of the content. Most of our unBritish bureaucracy including but not only limited to Directorate General of Civil Aviation is too stiff and constipated, let alone being puppets of some or the other political party. It is another social evil; It is neither by the people nor for the people.

Sack not suspend this mindless crew for gross misconduct and flouting security rules.Ban Nigam from flying in India and the the pilot and co pilot must be reported and their licenses revoked. They're not even fit to ride a bike on the road.
