A GROUP of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) volunteers raised a banner of revolt against the party on Wednesday and gave a 48-hour ultimatum to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying either he fulfils their demands or they would have to chart their own course.
Wearing AAP caps, the volunteers, led by Dr Harinder Singh, a former agriculture officer and volunteer from Zira, demanded that 59 of the 93 candidates announced by the party be replaced with immediate effect as they had allegations against them.

The volunteers demanded that party affairs in-charge Sanjay Singh and national organisation building head Durgesh Pathak be recalled to Delhi and let the party be handled by Punjabis. They also said that all those AAP leaders, who have been shown the door following allegations, should either be honourably reinstated or proof of their “wrongdoings” be made public. Moreover, details of all funds collected from abroad and Punjab should be made public. The volunteers even accused the party leaders of arrogance.
