Children eating food meant for animals at anganwadis, admits MoS Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti

Union minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti expressed concern over lack of food processing units

Children and women are being served food meant for animals in the name of nutritious food at Anganwadi centres, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti today admitted here.

Speaking at a function of PHD Chamber of Commerce in Indore, she said they should be given food containing soybean which is rich in protein at such centres.

The Union minister expressed concern over lack of food processing units and said farmers were not getting the right price of produce because of lack of food processing industry, and the government was taking steps to change this situation.

Ruchi group, a leading food processing company, had been given the green signal to open a food park in Dewas district of Madhya Pradesh, she said, adding that the Central government would be giving nod to another two such units in the state.

    Gaushalas are being built by the government to provide for sacred cows but food only fit for animals should not be given to children.

      How come this is happenings? At both centre and state, there are non-haramzadon ki sarkar.

        How about changing the present system of providing hot cooked meal to : 1. 40-50 grams of prepacked cereal like Saffola Muesli Nutty Crunch(Example only) 2. A gl of reconsuted warm milk. I think this will reduce lot of efforts and provide the much required nutritious food to kids in aanganwadis. Further, the amount of paperwork done by these workers will ashame a Govt clerk.

            HA HA HA while our politicians are asking for biryani and gulab jamuns and fantastic food at throw away prices in their airconditioned canteens...keep electing these monsters and keep enjoying the animal food
