With at least a dozen senior officers declining to work in the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Arvind Kejriwal may bring in officials from outside Delhi or appoint private persons on co-terminus basis. The CMO is currently running short of officers and, if sources in the government are to be believed, it may soon become “officer-less”. The sources in the CMO said the chief minister had approached around 10-12 officers to work in his office, but they politely refused to take up the new assignment, fearing they may also come on the “CBI radar” since the CM’s principal secretary Rajendra Kumar and deputy secretary Tarun Kumar faced action in an alleged graft case.

Both officers were suspended following the CBI case in 2016. “In view of dearth of officers in the CM’s office, around a dozen bureaucrats were approached, but they declined expressing fear of repression. “In this situation, the Chief Minister will have no option but to hire officers from outside Delhi or co-terminus staff to run his office,” a source in the CM office said.

The sources also said Indian Revenue Services officer Sukesh Jain, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in CM office, has already applied for repatriation to his parent cadre which is likely to be accepted. Additional Secretary Geetika Sharma has been transferred while another additional secretary, Deepak Virmani, has applied for study leave.

There is urgent requirement of officers in the Chief Minister’s Office as it supervises all government works, the sources said. AAP government functionaries alleged that all conventions to take the chief minister into confidence in matters of transfer and posting of officers in the CMO are being bypassed. The service matter is entirely with the Lt Governor office and Union Home Ministry takes a call on the transfer of IAS and DANICS officers.

This shows your pathetic thinking and upbringing. Instead of focussing on the problem you only have kejriwal in mind. The problem is double governance in delhi BJP in his lust for power has broken all records and is now at its worst trying all means to grab power in delhi. It has shelved and backtracked on it's old demand of full statehood to delhi. And still now they don't want to declare delhi a complete union territory as that would snatch the creame they are looking for past 20 years. On one hand lt. Governer is the supreme in delhi and still wants elections in delhi. Frankly speaking there is no need of any governance in delhi as everything is RAM Bharose , be it MCD or Police or any other public department. It's just that you keep increase taxes and keep poor , poorer is the mantra of BJP.

The key problem is that Keju himself made everybody his enemy by uttering complete non-sense, baseless charges on Modi and his over ambition which was apparent in AAP contesting elections in Punjab/Goa. He still has more than 2 years left. People will forgive him if he mends his ways and controls his mouth.

Let Delhi Govt. save some money and there is no need to appoint any Officers because whoever comes and joins will face the music and with NO Governance at all in Delhi and with focus on graft charges and also Delhi CM had no time to run the administration and instead touring various States to open branch offices of the Party, why waste money on them is the ???

AK is hardly involved in the work of the Gov't. Then why does he need officers ? His only contribution in the last 3 years and the 49 days of earlier stint has been cooking up controversies, which were religiously aired everyday first thing in the morning. After the morning ritual, he rushes to various locations where injustice has been done, in support of the victims, where in he creates more controversies. He wanted all these controversies to be substantiated by his officers, by concocting alibis, most of them bordering on falsehood. Such a type of work can only be done by corrupt officers. No wonder no one wants to work for him ( Any one working in his office is likely to be b ed as corrupt ). Fortunately, since a few weeks, after many revelations, he seems to have gone silent- a great relief for Delhiites. Hope this continues and becomes a permanent feature.
