AAPNA Punjab Party president Sucha Singh Chhotepur has condemned Badals for “using public money to organise the Moga rally”.

Claiming that the rally was a burden on the exchequer, he said, “This money could have been utilised to clear the debt of marginal farmers and prevent a few suicides. Unfortunately, neither the senior Badal nor the junior Badal has no inclination of saving the agrarian community.” Chhotepur further stated that if the Badals wanted, the Punjab waters issue could have been resolved long ago, but they were busy bargaining with their Haryana counterparts.

“Despite being the BJP’s ally, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal did not seek the help of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now, SAD is raking up the matter to gain the sympathy of the electorate and they very well know that taking out rallies will not resolve the issue.”
