The Jammu and Kashmir Police has detained the driver of PDP MLA Aijaz Ahmad Mir in relation to the terror attack on Amarnath yatris in Anantnag on Monday, reported news agency ANI. Mir’s driver was detained for questioning by the police.

The driver, identified as Touseef Ahmad, is believed to have links with the terrorists involved in the attack. The report also states that the driver was deputed to Mir’s duty seven months ago. “Ahmad was formally placed under arrest yesterday as part of investigations into militancy-related violence in south Kashmir,” PTI reported.

The report also states that two other persons are also likely to have been detained by the police and the driver’s role in the attack may become clear by the end of the day.

A six-member special investigation team was constituted by J&K police to probe into the attack. The bus was attacked by terrorists at around 8:00 pm on Monday near Betangoo area. Seven persons, including five women, were killed in the attack.

Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had rushed to the hospital in Anantnag where 15 of those injured were being treated. The attack was condemned by political leaders from across the party including PM Narendra Modi, Congress President Sonia Gandhi among others.

Monday’s attack was the first major incident on Amarnath yatra since 2000. Reportedly, the security agencies were already warned about the terrorists’ plan to attack the yatris. Initial investigation has suggested that there were serious security lapses as the bus was not registered with Amarnath shrine board and was travelling on the road after the permissible time limit.

If Muslim majority Kashmir has to be separated from secular India as demanded by Muslims then Hindu majority states will also have to be separated from secular India on the same ground. We Hindus are running out of our patience. There will be Lalus Bihar, Mamatas Bengal and Commies Kerala left in secular India once Hindus decide to act on the question of self determination as advocated by Muslims in Kashmir. That will be something Muslims must avoid. Else ...

Amaranth pilgrims attack WAS CARRIED OUT BY NONE OTHER THAN INDIAN AGENTS. That is from high value precision intelligence. Everything else happening after that is to COVERUP and REINFORCE that it was carried out by Kashmeres. After all Indian people should not know that Indian deliberately killed Hindu pilgrims isn't it.

Kashmiris should understand two things that effect their lives in a very significant ways. Pakistan as a border for land locked J K is like being tied to a mad dog. Every indian life counts weather doing his duty in Uniform or donned the tourist hat. Kashmiris should just be respectful of Indians as their lives depend on indians. China is taking a certain internet in Kashmir and that's it. Cought between a Red dragon mad mad Dog.

BJP-PDP alliance is damaging the interests of the country in J K. After achieving the maximum (after making the most of the Kashmiris pro-separatists and gaining the votes in the Presidential elections) from the alliance, the BJP might break the alliance as it is damaging their re tion.
