Ahmedabad: 4 nabbed with 21 lakh new notes

The police said that the persons and the cash will be handed over to Income Tax department for further probe.

The Special Operations Group, Ahmedabad, on Saturday apprehended four persons with over Rs 21 lakh cash after they failed to provide source of the money.

The police said that the persons and the cash will be handed over to Income Tax department for further probe.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police, B C Solanki, the four persons were caught with the cash, in various denominations, including new notes of Rs 500 and Rs 2000, from CG Road.

“They were to exchange these cash with old notes,”Solanki said. ENS
