Man of Steel star Henry Cavill’s manager has revealed that a Superman sequel is in development. Cavill’s Superman also appeared in Zack Snyder’s Dawn of Justice, reported Digital Spy.
“Henry has a big appetite. We’ve been in a five-month period of time where he’s re-strategising, acquiring property (for his production company Promethean), he’s filming ‘Justice League’ now, he’s in development for the Superman standalone.
“He is beginning to expand that world,” Cavill’s manager Dany Garcia said.
“It’s beautifully teed up. In a year from now or two years from now, he’s going to be a force globally.”
Before Man of Steel 2 hits the big screen, 33-year-old Cavill’s Superman will star in upcoming DC Comics blockbuster Justice League. Together with Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg, the Justice League must become our world’s last line of defence against alien invaders.
Superman will apparently be back in black. Man of Steel star Henry Cavill posted a close-up image of a black Superman uniform Monday on Instagram . He’s expected to return in next year’s Justice League.
Cavill’s high-flying superhero spoiler alert met his demise at the conclusion of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earlier this year. The last son of Krypton was originally resurrected with a black suit after he was killed off in the comics in 1993.
Earlier, director Zack Snyder and actor Henry Cavill have revealed that they’re still eager to do the sequel to 2013 film Man of Steel. Meanwhile, producer Charles Roven says that Man of Steel 2 is being considered but may not arrive anytime soon because of other DC Comics films Warner Bros. had planned.
