Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar paid a visit to the young Telugu actor Allu Sirish on Monday when the latter was shooting for his upcoming film Oka Kshanam in Bengaluru.

Puneeth spent quality time speaking with Sirish and other members of the cast even as he shared some of his experiences with them, said a source in the know. He was also happy with the speed the film’s shooting was progressing.

“Allu Sirish and his family share a special bond with the members of Dr Rajkumar family for many years now. They invite each other to their family functions and important film events,” added the source.

Allu Sirish, especially, is developing a good rapport with actors in the Kannada film industry. He recently attended the teaser launch function of Shivarajkumar’s movie Tagaru as the chief guest. And he also did an impromptu dance on stage along with other celebrities of Kannada cinema.

Sirish has expressed his desire to make his debut in the Kannada film industry. He said he entered the Malayalam film industry with 1971: Beyond Borders alongside superstar Mohanlal. In Kannada, he said he wants to share screen space with Shivarajkumar.

Sirish is currently shooting for Oka Kshanam, which is directed by Vi Anand of Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada fame. The film is said to be a sci-fi and has Mehreen and Surabhi as female leads.

The film has created a good buzz in the industry, given the track record of Vi Anand. It is fast nearing the completion and is expected to release in theatres early next year.

Sirish was last seen in Malayalam war film 1971: Beyond Borders, which was directed by Major Ravi.
