‘Sanjivani’ actor Sanjit Bedi passes away, friends and co-actors mourn

Sanjit Bedi, who was famous for playing the role of Dr Omi in 'Sanjivani', passed away on June 23. Sanjit Bedi was last seen in the show 'Jaane Kya Baat Huyi'.

TV actor Sanjit Bedi, who was famous for playing Dr Omi in popular TV show ‘Sanjivani’, passed away on June 23.

The young actor was suffering from a brain ailment and had been in coma for a while.

Sanjit’s cremation was held at 11am today (June 24) at the Chandanwadi crematorium, Mumbai. He is survived by his wife.

Apart from ‘Sanjivani’, Sanjit had appeared in various shows like ‘Jaane Kya Baat Huyi’, ‘Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasman’, ‘Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka’ and ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ among others.

Sanjit Bedi’s death has come as a shock for his friends from the TV industry. Actors like Hiten Tejwani, Karnvir Bohra and Kamya Punjabi among others took to Twitter to express their grief over the death.

Karanvir, who acted with Sanjit in serial “Kasautii Zindagii Kay”, used words like “energetic” and “vibrant” to describe his friend.

“The man was full of life and energetic. One would forget about their own problem in his company,” Karanvir told IANS.

Karanvir also added that “Sanjit went abroad for some work and after he came back he started practising yoga.”
