The crew and cast of television series Bahu Humari Rajni_Kant have given a small tribute to one of Indian television’s most epic soaps operas — Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, but in their own special way. If you walk down the memory lane, the moment the jingle of KSBKBT would begin, we would see Tulsi Virani aka Smriti Irani taking over the television screens to introduce us to her family members. And this tribute video is no different. Actor Ridhima Pandit, who plays the character of Rajni takes you to each and every member of her on-screen family introducing them to you. What remains special is that the cast does the tribute in the most honest and as truest manner as possible. Ridhima can be seen wearing a saree with a bun, just like Tulsi as we get some nostalgia jolts with the iconic show’s title track playing in the backdrop. If nothing else, it is surely going to stir up your memories.

Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki… Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was the show that established her position as Indian television’s soap queen and has remained one of her best daily soaps so far. It also records the longest running television show, which ran from 2000 to 2008 completing 1833 episodes. In fact, the title track of the serial is remembered and sung to this day. It kind of made a space in people’s heart, which no serial has been able to replace. There is still a part of the audience that associates actor-turned-politician Smriti Irani, now a Union Cabinet Minister, better as the show’s female lead Tulsi Virani. Even actor Ronit Roy reminds us of Mihir Virani. In fact, the death of Mihir Virani in 2001 lead to afan protest marches, and hundreds of petitions and letter dropping in at the office of Ekta Kapoor, requesting her to bring the character back. The return of Mihir Virani from the dead, gave the show its all-time high TRP of 22.4, the highest rating recorded by any show on Indian television so far.

In the on-going episode of Bahu Humari Rajni_Kant, Ridhima Pandit is playing a Gujarati. Hence, the team reportedly came up with an impromptu decision of making the video. In fact, the idea became super-hit when Ekta Kapoor herself shared the video on her Instagram account to applaud the cast of the serial.
