Priyanka Chopra’s Quantico took a brief break due to the Presidential debate but now with season 2 episode 3, things are hotting up again. The episode titled Stescalade sees Alex Parrish trying to save the hostages. But thanks to secret informant Miranda, the assailants know Alex is inside the building and they have assured Miranda that they will find her and kill her. They manage to keep the first promise but not the second one.
The hostage situation aggravates with a war looming in the near feature. Miranda sends her most trusted agent on a dangerous mission which includes making Alex work with the terrorist. Alex is unaware of the fact that Miranda is a false hero and has joined hands with the assailants. She is trying everything possible to destroy anything that comes in the assailants’ way.
Blending in with the terrorist goes well for Alex until Ryan decides to recruit Harry who we learn is not CIA. His main intention is to unmask at least one of the assailants while trying to create a fistfight for distraction. Only he is unaware that the assailant he catches hold of is Alex who gets exposed. Ryan is left thinking that his former lover is probably a part of this organisation.
Back at FBI, Shelby lets Miranda in on a secret. She wrote an unassigned white paper, which is an in-depth analysis of everyone who could be in AIC. That ends up secretly freaking out Miranda but she covers her intentions by saying that’s exactly the kind of advantage we need. The flash drive containing the report ends up messing up with Miranda’s system. The same happens to Shelby’s laptop.
Even in the flashback, we see Miranda trying to convince the two handlers — Shelby and Raina — that they are not doing their job properly as a war is looming. They provide Alex and Ryan with one bug to be used on the one they suspect. Alex and Ryan meet with their handlers at the safehouse but can’t agree on whom to bug.
Meanwhile, the CIA trains them how to be hyper-aware of their surroundings. After many drills, the trainees are left in a jungle. They are instructed to return within 20 minutes but none of them can make it. They are later told that they were unsuccessful as they were not paying attention to the clues. However, Alex gets to know Leon better during their time in the jungle.
