If Narcos season 1 was all about the sensational and bloody rise of the legendary Colombian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar, season 2 will reveal his last ditch attempts to keep his legacy going. The show already brought to us how the Medellin Cartel in the 70’s became synonymous with the drug trade. The story is largely narrated from the viewpoint of Escobar which is played by Brazilian actor Wagner Moura.
The upcoming season offers viewers a glimpse into Escobar’s life after he escapes from a prison he made for himself, La Catedral. His daredevil escape was where the show left us hanging. In season 2, Escobar will run from Colombian anti-drug establishment as well as Javier Pena and Steven Murphy, the two DEA agents who are both hot on his trail. The hunt for Escobar will continue as will his cat-and-mouse game.
